Samuel Goldwyn produced the film version of this play which introduced the Dead End Kids and was directed by William Wyler, starring Sylvia Sidney, Joel McCrae, Humphrey Bogart, Wendy Barrie, Claire Trevor, and Marjorie Main. The screenplay was written by Lillian Hellman. This copy has some pencil marking and scoring in the text in an unknown hand. Illustrated with three terrific wood engravings by Julian Wehr. Very good in a very good dust jacket with some internal repairs, some tiny chipping, small tears, and a little aging mainly at spine. An historic copy used to help create a classic Hollywood film.
