Glossy illustrated paper covered boards. Moderately bumped at the tips and bumped with some wear about the head and foot of spine; light offsetting to the front and rear free endpapers. The dust jacket is clipped at the top corner although the numeral "2" is still visible; (60-90) bottom of front flap just beloww the "ss" in Seuss; rear panel lists "The Other 6 by Dr. Seuss" with review blurbs beneath each. Jacket is chipped at the corners, edges and foot of spine, has a closed tear diagonally from the top front left corner. The rear panel, while not discolored, is crinkled from dampstaining which is only evident on the blank inner side. An affordable, still collectible alternative to the very pricey first issue.

Eight thin horizontal strips of tape holding wraps around the spine and two long vertical strips along both hinges on the lower half. Rubbing and wear to all edges of boards, with moderate wear to head and tail of spine. Interior clean, with very light age-toning.
