Description:
Garden City: Doubleday Doran, 1928. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. First edition. Older owner name stamp (with an imprecation upon book thieves), else about fine in a modestly rubbed, very good dustwrapper with shallow chipping at the spine ends. The memory of a beautiful Mexican girl lures a cowboy south of the border. A genuine cowboy in his younger years, Seltzer was considered one of the best western writers. Many of his western novels were filmed, but apparently dialogue wasn't his strong suit - all the films were made in the silent era, even though he continued to write until his death in 1942.
