Hardcover, two volume matched set bound in pebbled brown cloth with paper labels to spine. Exterior shows quite a bit of wear and spotting, both paper labels have sections missing and are barely readable. Volume 2 has some damage along the outside spine edge. Overall interior binding is good with no major issues. There is some pulling but all text pages are secure. Both books contain quite a bit of pencil notes and underlining which is probably present on 10 -15% of the total amount of pages. There are a few scattered tears: volume 1 has the lower corner missing of the front and page volume 2 has a tear just over an inch on the fore edge and page 465 has the corner missing on the upper right. Brock corresponding secretary of the society.This volume goes through the letter to Lord Halifax in 1755. Contains a partial genealogy of Dinwiddie up to mid 1790's. This volume has Vol. 1 on spine and does not include any Dinwiddie records past March 1755. Unsure if there was a Vol. 2.
