Description:
Washington, DC: National Gallery of Art, 1941. Soft cover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Larger softcover, special limited edition presented to the Trustees of the A, W, Mellon Educational and Charitable Trust, as so stated on the second end page. Tan wraps are a bit scuffed and soiled along with toning along edges and spine. Exterior wrap edges are also folded over at the edges. The internal binding is good though pages are toned. The only handwriting found in the book is on the front end page which reads: "March 17, 1941. Medical Cadet Corp., Red Cross Unit. E.B. Russell". No other handwriting found in the book, no underlining, no library markings. In addition to the 244 pages there is also 16 black-and-white plates in the rear.
