World Pub. Co. Collectible - Acceptable. Cleveland and New York: The World Publishing Company, 1954. 1st edition. 8vo hardcover. 749pp. Fair book and dust jacket. Shelfworn, tanned and foxed. Top-edge slightly dampstained near fore-edge. The top of the boards and text block appear to have chew marks. There is a small ink inscription to the front endpage. The dust jacket shows heavy shelfwear with a 4 inch split to the upper joint of the front flap. From the collection of author, painter, and sportswoman Doreen Feng. Feng, who was the daughter of Chinese diplomat Chih-Tsing Feng, was known for authoring The Joy of Chinese Cooking, as well as her many sporting endeavors, including golfing, horseback riding, skiing, table tennis and bullfighting.
