Description:
First Edition, First Separate Printing. Reprinted from UCLA Law Review, volume 31, December 1983, Number 2. Inscribed by by the author. Blue card stock covers, black type. Darkening to bottom of front and rear cover, otherwise fine. The primary focus of the author's scholarship has long been the use -and misuse-of legal language, resulting in his books, The Language of the Law, and, Legal Writing-Sense and Nonsense. Mellinkoff's writings, as well as his lectures, are liberally sprinkled with a wit that is as instructive as it is amusing. The Fifty-Eight Faculty Research Lecture is reproduced here as it was delivered by Professor Mellinkoff on April 14,1983 at Schoenberg Hall on the UCLA campus.' A wonderful copy of this important legal work.
