New York: The Century Co, 1885. Leather. 960p. A hardcover book bound in 3/4 leather with brown cloth boards. FAIR condition. Leather portions scuffed; tear in the middle of the spine. Hinges cracked, but pages securely enough attached for reading purposes. Owner's inscription (dated 1884) and numerous smudges inside. A damaged but readable copy. Volume 29 (New Series Volume 7) of THE CENTURY, containing two excerpts of THE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN prior to the actual novel's publication (pages 268 and 544). Illustrated with many black and white engravings.
