Description:
Philadelphia PA: Lutheran Publication Society. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1909. First Edition. Hardcover. A really excellent copy, crisp and fresh despite its age. The boards are bright red, with gold stamping that includes a design featuring a miner's pick and shovel on the spine. This story of Lithuanian and other immigrants in the anthracite region of Pennsylvania looks like an interesting read, with period details not found elsewhere. There is just a touch of wear to the spine. .
