Blackie & Son, 1872. Hardcover. Good. in x in x in. Text in English. No DJ. Fraying to edges with approx. 1/4"" of cloth binding missing from bottom spine edge. Front and rear hinge cracked. Binding is tight. Previous owner name on inside front cover: appears to be James Fisher Edinbury, dated 1875. Staining to approx. first 80 pages, front page edges. Gilt page edges. Paul Marcoy was a French Explorer and botanist. In 1870, Marcoy travelled from the coast of Peru through the interior of Brazil to the Atlantic, displaying a sure touch for both anecdotal and scientific reporting of exotic flora, fauna, and landscapes. 273pp.
