Slight wear to ends of spines, a little bumping to upper corners of boards. Volume II strained at p226 but solidly bound. Patches of foxing to text. Light water stain to lower corner of half title page and title page in both volumes. Volume II has a very light water stain to inner upper corner throughout the book. A section of pages in Volume II (227-238) have been trimmed and reattached. French language. Complete with the two hand-coloured fold-out maps. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown endpaper in volume I (Henry Cranmer M. Phillipps). The second, and best, edition of Malte Brun's treatise on the geography and political history of Poland.
