In 1946 Malcolm Saville's third Lone Pine book was serialised for BBC's Children's Hour in six parts, adapted by Muriel Levy. The serial was repeated with a new, shorter production in 1949, but there is no evidence that a recording was made. Even the scripts had been thought lost forever - until now! In 1943 Malcolm Saville's just-published "Mystery at Witchend" was serialised for BBC's Children's Hour in four parts, adapted by Barbara Sleigh (who went on to write the popular "Carbonel" series).
