Covers rubbed and scuffed, chipping to heel of spine with endband exposed and loose, two old institutional stamps (German?) to volume 1 title-page, with handwritten number beneath (no other markings), very light staining to preliminary pages, otherwise a very good, clean, tight copy of an important work.
