Hardcover, limited edition of a thousand copies, of which this one is unnumbered. Blue cloth boards with paper label on spine. Exterior shows sunning/fading to edges of boards, spine is also quite sunned. Edges and corners also show some bumps/wear. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are toned due to age and there is some foxing present. The front end page contains a large signature appears to read "Virginia Marvin" and there's faint residue of a price once penciled in the corner. No other handwriting found in the book, no bookplates, no library markings.

Lord Alfred Douglas (1870-1945) was a poet, magazine editor and writer. He befriended Oscar Wilde in a relationship which was seen as illegal in Britain at the time, and wrote several books about the friendship. He was editor of the magazine 'The Academy' before serving time in jail for libel. Later editions of this book were entitled 'My Friendship with Oscar Wilde; The Autobiography of Lord Alfred Douglas', presumably for a market less aware of Douglas's association with the notorious Oscar Wilde.
