Super ex-libris to front board and ex-libris pasted on to pasted down front end-paper. Vague marginal dampstain but overall a nice copy. (4), 668 pp. Later expanded edition of Le Roux's popular dictionary on proverbs originally published in 1718. Le Roux was forced to flee from France to Belgium after publishing a biography critical of François de la Chaise, French Jesuit priest, and confessor of King Louis XIV of France.
