Salmon cloth covered boards and a maroon leather title label. A nice copy. Clean text, solid binding. Some general but very light wear. Gift inscription on ffep. Contains original news paper review inside manilla folder which has not effected book. No slipcase or dust jacket.

Illustrated with 62 gravure plates most full page, nicely printed, reproducing Laughlin's photographs of New Orleans. Rose-colored cloth with publisher's burgundy leather spine label gilt. Former owner's ink inscription dated in 1941 on front pastedown, leather spine label is a bit rubbed with two nicks, a very good or better copy in moderately worn publisher's slipcase box. Limited to 1030 copies, this is copy number 9, likely one of the thirty copies that were reserved and not for sale, Signed by Clarence John Laughlin and David L. Cohn. The colophon notes that of a total edition of 1030 copies "one thousand are for sale
