Bound in bright blue moire-finished cloth, titles stamped in red on the spine, title illustration stamped in red on the cover, head edge dyed orange, decorated endpapers. Spine ends rubbed, head edge foxed, binding a tad shaken at the center signature. In the color illustrated dust jacket, price $2.50 intact on the front flap. Jacket spine damp stains and ends chipped, edges rubbed, mellowed creases. "Sixty-three reproductions of paintings giving a symbolic analysis of life and of human emotions" shown at the Smithsonian in 1926, accompanied by brief quotes from famous authors. Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
