Description:
London: William Tegg, 1872. First Edition . Half Leather - Hardbound. Very Good+/No Jacket. Newton Fielding. 96 pages, plus eight plates. Modern binding with red textured leather over spine and corners, and with gilt stamped lettering and decorative edging. All edges are gilded. The gilt and black stamped original top cover has been cleaned and is bound in as the last leaf of the book. Covers remain bright and very clean, though there are a couple small spots of mottling on the cloth covers. Contents are generally very clean, though the last leaf of text shows a couple small spots of foxing and is slightly darkened. All plates remain in fine condition. The original cloth cover that was removed and is now bound in at the rear of this volume is in very good condition, though shows just a little moisture damage.
