Paulus, wood-dwarf, is shrunken by Eucalipta the wood-goblin/witch, who intends him to be the (unwilling) king of the acornmen: misadventure ensues. Based on a popular Dutch comic strip which ran from 1946-1984 and inspired radio and television shows, as well as a series of novels, despite never quite catching on in the Anglophone world. Hardcover in jacket, as pictured; the first American/Canadian edition, listing no later printings. Light wear to book, minor bumping to corners, hint of foxing to edges; jacket shows a little edgewear, short tears & chips (with an odd flap/gouge by the upper front hinge, light creasing, $4.95 price intact.
