This book (series of letters) presents the tenets of this liberal theology by enumerating it's contrasts to the Protestant Episcopal Church doctrine as put forth in a sermon by Rev. Wm E. Wyatt. After his withdrawal from the Ministry in 1823 he began his journey to historiography with the publishing of the 12 volumes of "The Writings of George Washington"(1834-1837).
