London: George Harrap, 1936. Very good plus.. Signed limited edition of Ibsen's fantasy play of goblins and fairies based upon a traditional Norwegian fairy tale, one of only 460 copies signed by Rackham. This is one of the more scarce Rackham limited editions. 10.25'' x 7.75''. Original full gilt-stamped vellum. In original slipcase with limitation number matching book. Top edge gilt, other edges uncut, pictorial endpapers. Illustrated by Rackham with 12 color plates, plus numerous fanciful black-and-white images. 256, [1] pages. Signed by Rackham on the limitation page. Slipcase a bit soiled and rubbed. Natural discoloration of vellum, faint abrasion on front board near title. Spots of toning to fly leafs where tape once was, now removed. Vellum unbowed and unbumped, interior clean.
