Description:
The Sole printing published by Faber & Faber, London in 1995 for private distribution. Only 300 copies issued. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with original brown card wrappers and a printed paper label to the spine as issued. Signed and dated by Fergus Allen to the front free end paper. The date of '17/8/95' was the date of Ted Hughes' 65th birthday and also the date the book was published. Fergus Allen (1921 -2017) was a high ranking civil servant from an Anglo Irish family, whose first collections of poems appeared when he was already over 70 years of age. Allen provides one contribution 'Pond life' to this collection. A very scarce item with only two copies listed on JSIC. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
