London: J. And R. Tonson and S Draper / P. Vaillant / T. Davies, 1754 / 1759 / 1768. 1st Edition / 2nd Edition / 2nd Edition . Good Plus. 5 x 8 inches (13 x 20.5 cm). A collection of three mid-eighteenth century plays bound as one. Contemporary half leather binding with marbled boards. Binding heavily rubbed, wear to all edges of boards, slight loss to ends of spine. Joints cracked but both boards are securely attached. Two paper private library labels to spine and engraved bookplate to front pastedown endpaper (John William Willis Bund: Worcestershire lawyer, historian and MP). Some foxing and marking to endpapers, text is clean throughout. Virginia (1st Edition) has the cancel at C2 as expected; press figures at pages 11 (7), 31 (4), 40 (7), 42 (1), 63 (4), 68 (8), 70 (4). Includes the Prologue and Epilogue written by Mr Garrick. Author's name is written in contemporary hand to foot of dedication page. ESTC: T50925.
