The book is dated 1935, but the dust jacket shows a date of 1943 at the bottom. You probably can't tell the printing date without the dust jacket. This DJ shows Sambo's Mom serving his up some pancakes out of cast iron frying pan. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 64 pages .

The bottom front corner has a slight bend but not a major flaw. The illustraion is a boy holding an umbrella under a palm tree with a tiger looking on. Gift inscription to previous owner on front free endpaper. Pages are clean. Page 17 has a tear along bottom edge that was once mended with a yellowing adhesive tape with evidence of adhesive remaining. Remaining text is very nice.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
