With two-colour patterned endpapers, a title page decoration, fifteen splendid colour lithographic plates and thirty black and white drawings in the text. A scattering of quite light occasional spotting, but almost all of the plates entirely spared. A very good copy in a distressed example of the uncommon dust wrapper, split into two parts of the front panel/spine panel join with some makeshift internal repair, and with a two-inch area of loss from the base of the spine panel, a smaller area from the head, and with several tiny closed tears and one small snag.
