Description:
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1929. Hardcover. Near Fine with no dust jacket. Very light smudging to covers. "From a survey of the existing books on the decorative metals used in architecture it becomes at once apparent that they have been compiled and written from various view-points, usually of a general historical nature, but never from a purely architectural aspect. In no single one is there a parallel presentation of the salient characteristics of the metals which embellish a building, a description of the manner in which these materials are worked so that the designeer may come to an appreciation of the inherent potentialities as well as the limitations, nor a concise historical background of the various metals in various countries, amplified by architectural illustrations." 202 pages priority and international shipping will be extra, please inquire. ; 8 3/4 x 11 3/4
