Minor pencil marking to front free end-paper. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Sunning to spine.

Hardback lacks dustwrapper, boards are rubbed to all edges and there is a small chip to top of spine but titles are undamaged, no fading, spine is slightly discoloured. Although this is undated there is a pencil note to front pastedown stating it is the 1911 original issue. No other inscriptions noted. Illustrated, Clean copy internally with little wear, no loose pages. All tipped in plates present and undamged, fold out map undamaged. Heavy book, will require additional postage outside the the UK.
