He became known as the "Father of Oregon". With frontis photographic portrait of Dr. McLoughlin.

Some spotting to cover, mild scuffing and shelfwear with age. Gilt titles on spine remain bright. Spine cracked from use, but all pages intact, including glassine paper over frontis. Mild yellowing to crisp page edges. Text clean, no underlining. Good copy overall.
