More prominent to text block edges, lighter to pastedowns and free endpapers. Binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear. Spine has subtle tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall.

GB: Stanley Paul Name of owner at start of book. Not dated BUT about 1948. Cocked. Very good clean tight text throughout BUT rear end paper spotted and text edges dust marked / spotted. Black cloth covers are noticeably spotted with white. Dustwrapper/dustjacket is browned / dust marked with loss / tears to top and base of spine. A good reading copy.. 1st Edition. Hardback.
