Description:
Los Angeles: Occidental Petroleum, 1988. Limited. Gold Stamped Blue Cloth. Fine. Special Projects Department, Photographer Pat Willits. This is one of a small number of copies printed. Dr. Hammer visited many countries, always with a large retinue (possibly to increase the importance of the visit), and every moment was carefully documented with color photographs, in this case some 84. In addition to the text, any relevant articles, broadsides or invitations were printed. The probable purpose of this trip was to put up 25 million toward oil exploration off the coast of Isreal. In addition, Hammer was honored at various places, and dispensed with other funds for charity. The professional photographs capture the Mayors, Prime Ministers, Ambassadors, and others who met with Dr. Hammer. Original photos tipped in, scrapbook style.
