The Ted Scott series was the longest-lived of the juvenile aviation series, selling over a million copies (in fact, during its heyday it outsold the Hardy Boys series.) This is 2 out of 20 in the series. He launched a second stratemyre aviation series. Duffield was a student of aeronautical technology. With the earlier red cloth binding (not the later tan), this is a slightly later printing of the 1927 FIRST EDITION, liisting to Self & to HB#3 in front matter, but to TS#12 in rear list of other boys' series titles.
