Berger, Paul (1911 B&W portrait of Duncan in Paris with her daughter).. 1 Tan cloth over boards; black and gold cover, spine graphics, titles. xiv p., 1 l., 17-281 p. 23 cm. B&W Portraits, Plates, Facsimiles. Top page block black dye; outside block deckled. Paper quality: off-white textured. Artist and dancer Isadora Duncan wrote her autobiography, ending her story in 1921. She had become known as finding her inspiration in "the long sealed in the secret archives of sculptural Greece". Her friend and biographer Mary Desti continues her story, particularly in Russia. In 1927, Duncan was tragically killed when starting out with Buggatti (sp. ? ) in his open car, her trailing scarf was caught in the mechanism, and snapped her neck immediately on departure.
