First printing, near fine cloth hardcover shows a touch of shelf and trace wear including some toning to front endpaper where a couple of items are laid in, inscribed in pencil "With Best Wishes to Another Karen" and in ink just under "Borghild Dahl", in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows bit of toning and soil, rubbing at edges and edgewear at top and bottom showing wrinkles, short closed tears, small open chips, and scotch tape mends at both front and rear. 313 pages. Still a pleasing inscribed copy in jacket of this "..story of a Norwegian girl who emigrated to the United States in the 1870's and of how, starting out as a servant, she became a leader of the community in which she lived." Inscribed.
