She both wrote and illustrated several books including illustrating her husband's. She is famous for bringing her students and other teachers outdoors to study nature. W A Stocking was an author and scholar authoring books on the science of dairy production. He was the longest continuously serving president of the American Dairy Science Association from 1916-1918.
