Six volumes, complete set. No dustjackets. Each is bound in red cloth. Overall, good condition. Spines are sunfaded, but there is little to no wear to covers/spines on each volume. Some volumes have a slight mark from sticker residue to the top right corner of the cover. Interiors are yellowed but clean, no foxing or staining. All bindings are well intact. The first four volumes have notes added to the end of the index and minor underlining on the denoted pages (example pictured). No other marks are present, and none at all in the 5th and 6th volumes. Winston Churchill's best selling magnum opus in the unabridged Cassell paperback edition. He wrote with much assistance from a large number of distinguished aides, some of whom Churchill is modest enough to name in his acknowledgements. He was greatly helped by a concession from the Attlee government that Churchill could be granted privileged access to government documents, although he could not reveal official secrets.
