New York: Duell, Sloan and Pearce, 1942. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good-/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. Signed by the author on the front end page and stated first edition on the copyright page. DJ shows fading on the spine along with scuffing and soiling, edges show bumps/chips/small tears. The price is clipped on the front flap. Blue cloth boards underneath has scuffing and soiling with a larger spot the bottom of the rear board as well as the upper left corner. The board also shows some heavy bumping, mainly on the front board, right edge. Edges and corners also show bumps/wear and there is some light dents in the stain on the spine. The front pastedown and page 137 (at the bottom) contains a stamp stating "Property of the Roosevelt - 2101 16th St. NW. Washington DC". The internal binding is good, no hinge issues.
