GB: Ogle, Duncan Etc., 1822. This set belonged to "ALEXR ROSS RIVERFIELD INVERNESS" whose small stamp is at start and top right of both title pages. The original frontispieces are not present. Inserted in Volume I is a frontispiece map of Inverness and four other (relevant) mounted plates and a further three plates in Volume II. Fairly clean tight book may have been bound for Mr Ross in marbled boards with vellum or vellum-like spines and tips. Both spines lettered BURT'S LETTERS VOL I (II) in black. . 5th Edition. Hardback.
