Lacking dustjacket. 367pp. Clean and bright, a little bumped to extremities and creased to the spine, a very good, handsome and durable copy. Internally clean. Map endpapers showing Wake, Midway and The Solomon islands. Inscribed to the half title by the author: "To dear old Bev, the Schwably Baby, take it easy, Walt Bayler" Also present on the half title is a signature from Major Charles H. "Fog" Hayes USMC, who served with distinction at Guadalcanal and throughout the Pacific Theatre, ending his career as a Lieutenant general and holding the position of the 8th Assistant Commandant of The Marine Corps.
