1973. Hardback. Acceptable. Acceptable condition. No dust cover. There are scuffs and light dents to the edges and corners of the cover. There is tape on the top of the spine which is taping up a 1cm tear, and there are stickers on the back. There are some light marks to the page edges but otherwise in very good condition with pages crisp and clean.

A seminal and much referenced work with an impressive range covering all the major topics in its field. An essential item for the collector of all things esoteric, strange, occult and mythical. Pages are exceptionally clean and bright with no marking, inscriptions, tanning or foxing. Rare thus. NOT an ex library book. Boards are clean just a little minor fraying at top of spine (see photos). Binding tight. No DJ. Often this book is one read and thus worn or marked, but this is a really nice copy of the first edition of this wonderful work.
