Binding tight. A very nice early English translation (first edition published in 1845).

Gilt spine compartmentsm red morocco spine label, all edges marbled, with marbled endpapers. Mild to moderate rubbing to extremities, some gilt loss to spine, but the contents bright and sound. Binder's ticket of T. Sowler of Manchester on the front paste-down, along with an armorial bookplate, both contemporary to publication.
