Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Minor pencil marking to front free end-paper. Cracking to gutters, with exposed netting causing the binding to be shaky. Further moderate cracking throughout. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Minor fraying to cloth at spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine.

Nelaon, 1886. Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good. William Rainey. 360pp, no dust wrapper, gift inscription dated 1888 to front paste down, no other inscriptions, illustrated, all plates and maps present. Slight rubbing, soiling and wear to red decorative boards especially top and bottom of spine but nothing significant, corners are slightly rubbed and bumped. Internally few signs of wear, hinges tight apart from one split towards the end of the text but pages are still tight, no turned over page corners, nice condition copy, just some very light spotting, gilding to edge of text block.
