About This Item
Little, Brown. Very Good+ in Good+ Dust Jacket. 1969. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Written in the voice of a 13-year-old girl who is witty and bright. This "journal" of hers shows a young lady who takes all her perks for granted and uses advertisements to illustrate her entries. An example is a color full-page advertisement of ladies fashionable hats of the day. The author also illustrated all these beautiful "ads" and was himself born in 1913 near Winnebago. Lovely to read and lovely to look at. Red cloth boards and endpapers. A gift note on red ffep. The DJ, beautiful as it is, is price clipped and chipped here and there, with one closed tear and a hole the size of a dime on the spine. It is now in a mylar book jacket cover. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 84 pages; 30536 .
