Covers the government of Crete from its beginnings in the ancient world to the present (ie., the date of the book). Date given as "An VII de la Republique Francoise." Text in French. Folding map of Crete in nice, bright condition. Several additional tables. Last page is an unnumbered Errata page. Pages free of foxing and spotting, some pages are age toned a bit darker than others, but all clearly readable. The leather spine worn & split about 1.5" at top edge & beginning to split at bottom eddge, wear to all edges and tips. A nice tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. Title translation: Former Federative Governments and Legislation of Crete ; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 503 pages .
