London: T. Nelson and Sons, 1852. Hardcover. Good. 486 p. 19 cm. Frontispiece, title vignette, and fold-out map of the South Pacific. Burgundy leather with blank and gilt impressing, all edges gilt. Some spots and rubbing to boards, corners worn. Ink inscription for Douglas Brown of Harbor Grace on front pastedown. Front free endpaper missing. Next leaf has ink signature (E. S. Pinsent) and pencil sketches. Some spots and thumbing to first pages. Rear free endpaper has large chip missing from bottom and there are pencil marks and dampstains to rear endpapers. Most of text is clean and neat.
