New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1903 494pp. Front board and spine are heavily damp stained, includes a large portion of the gilt lettering on the front board. Rear board has many small stains. Tips and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Rear hinge has a 1/2" opening at the spine heel. Inside boards and endpapers have light to moderate foxing. Top edge gilt has many small scratches. Boards have a slight bend. Text is clean and unmarked. . First Edition. Hardcover. Fair/No Dust Jacket.
