About This Item

State College, PA The American Philatelic Society , 1974. Hardcover First Edition (1974); Second Printing (1980). Near Fine: shows only the most minute indications of use: some faint smudges to the bottom edge of the text block; the front board is ever so slightly bowed; the expected very faint tanning to the text pages, due to aging; else flawless; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, or labels. A handsome, nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing a couple of unobtrusive flaws. An attractive reading copy. Very close to 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 4to. (10.25 x 7.25 x 1.5 inches). 523 pages. Profusely illustrated in black & white. Language: English. Weight: 43.7 ounces. First Edition (1974); Second Printing (1980). Hardback: No DJ 'as issued'. At least the first edition, first printing seems to have been housed in a slipcase, which is not present in this case.
