About This Item
Indianapolis: Bobbs Merrill, 1949. First Edition . Blue Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Light wear to edges, slight rubbing to covers, clean and unmarked. During his first trip abroad in 1903, the author wrote a series of illustrated letters to his three nephews back in the States. They are reprinted here, with the drawings. Great insight into a man who truly was "amiable". This copy is signed on the half-title page by all three nephews; not numbered.
