About This Item
Chicago: Thompson & Thomas, 1902. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Grey cloth with black and white lettering and pictorial stamping. 221pp. Frontispiece, full-page plates. Very good. Although internally near fine, both endpapers are age toned and binding is faintly sunned on spine and rear board, with a bit of mottling. A tight, nice first edition of the U.S. versus the war submarine potboiler by the ultra-prolific Edward Stratemeyer; ot was originally serialized in "Golden Hours" under another of Stratemeyer's many pseudonyms. Uncommon.
