The first edition of this work. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. Steve Champion is the protagonist of 'Yesterday's Spy', a loner hero who is impossibly lucky, the leader of the old Villefranche anti-Nazi group. Len Deighton was a British author, best known for his works of spy fiction who ranks among the greatest of his generation, in line with Ian Fleming. Alongside this, Len Deighton also wrote works of military history and cookery books. Part of the 'unnamed hero' series of works, this fast paced spy novel follows the the trail of a man involved in international arms dealing.
