A book by this American painter "who became famous in the 1960s as the claimed painter of a series of widely reproduced paintings depicting vulnerable subjects with enormous eyes" although the paintings are now accepted as having been painted by his wife, Margaret Keane - a book published shortly before her suit for slander. Preface by Terry Taylor. Illustrated with both full color and black and white reproductions of the paintings. INSCRIBED by Keane on the page headed "Women & wanderings", opposite the frontispiece and uncommon thus. 261 pp.
